MajesticSouls 0 #1 August 22, 2001 Hello all. I am a new skydiver. I just started. I also noticed it is hard to find skydiving companies on the internet the traditional Search Engine way. This is not good. We need to make our sport more visible on the web. For all the owners of Sky Dive companies out there. If you want to get more exposure it is all about advertising in the right places. Email me at pce3@hotmail.com and let me help you be in those right places. I love skydiving and want to help promote the sport all over the internet and the world.
parduhn 0 #2 August 22, 2001 Hey that's great you're a new skydiver. Finding information on the internet is very easy, but your post seems to be an ad and not a useful contribution to this forum. So expect to get flamed, sorry newbie.Sam
MajesticSouls 0 #3 August 22, 2001 Sorry about that guys. Didn't know if this would be an appropiate place to post it or not. Please don't flame the Newbie. Us newbies don't like going down in a ball of fire.

MajesticSouls 0 #5 August 22, 2001 I went to MSN and did a search for Sky Diveing and it only came up with 48 pages. I just now noticed where I made my mistake and found the info I was looking for. Bad spelling. Happens from time to time :(
ramon 0 #6 August 22, 2001 What the hell is a skydiving company? Oh I get it a company that makes skydivers....You mean a dropzone....Oh. try USPA.org.for companies that sell or deal in skydiving paraphenalia try ground-rush.com.If you are really an ignorant wuffo you probably did not look at all the companies represented on this website, if not, you did look and you must want European companies. I can find them just fine, but I see you live in the states, supposedly, in Florida .Maybe you can find a skydiving comapny in FloridaBWAHAHAHAHAHramon

PalmettoTiger 1 #8 August 22, 2001 QuoteI went to MSN and did a search for Sky Diveing and it only came up with 48 pages. MSN isn't a great search engine, they get lots of their traffic simply because they have an inside connection at a certain unnamed software company that give them premium placement. Try Google or even AltaVista. Also, try searching for skydiv* rather than Sky Diveing - most people don't separate the words, and skydiv* will pull up skydive as well as skydiving (assuming the search engine you're using is any good). The capitalization will also throw you off (again depending on the search engine), so use all lower-case letters. Finally, if you're looking for skydiving-related gear, do a search on parachute or combine it with words like container and harness.Blues, squares,PTiger

Zennie 0 #15 August 23, 2001 I'd recommend Google (www.google.com) as a search engine. And, yeah, spell it as "skydiving" without the 'e' and you'll have better luck.As far as gear goes, our own skybytch is at Square One (www.square1.com).For DZs go to the USPA's website at www.uspa.org------------Blue Skies!Zennie
Zennie 0 #16 August 23, 2001 Oh, I forgot to add our own website... dropzone.com for a great listing of dropzones. You can also buy used gear at great prices in the Classified section of this site (I go tmy container there). You can view gear ratings as well.Lotsa good stuff right here! ------------Blue Skies!Zennie
