Viking 0 #1 August 26, 2001 Well today was by far the most interesting day at the DZ i have ever had!!! started out with just my normal show everybody my lvl7 pics that hadn't seen them, talked to steve about hop-pops and leg turns. Then took some landing pics of a couple people. Joe (camera guy, Tandem Master, and all around cool guy) came about 3 inchs away from me when he swooped in for a picture Anyway everything was normal until the last load of the day when Car skid off the road just behind the bathroom trailor!! Joe was in there washing his hand when it went down and he said it made him jump pretty good. Anyway the full story on that would be that they were drinking and the driver walked away but the pasenger who was also this guys wife! was banged up pretty bad and had to be life flighted out!! Now after the car wreck i went back to the landing area b/c i was going to be shooting pics of the swoop thing that a couple of the Hook turners were doing. So i am squating at the very last cone with my camera ready and the first guy down the pipe is Craig (video guy, tandem master and one kick ass canopy pilot) So i have my camera up fallowing him down and right as i get ready to click the shutter i see this blue thing wizz infront of my camera!! its another guy landing cross wind RIGHT THROUGH THE FUCKING SWOOP COURSE Craig got out of a Midair somehow i don't how b/c he was freacking cooking down that course!! his and my eyes were wide as pie plates!!! The guy got a good talking too by both Craig and Andy the assistant manager who saw the whole thing. Anyway after that was all said and done we then had Farewell bbq for our rigger Edge who is moving on better things. And then there was a 100th jump piefest for Bill one of the packers!! That was great b/c he was all ducking and weaving and shit trying to aviod the pies but someone distracked him long enough for somone to get behind him and NAIL him with a double shot to the face witch i got on film ofcoure and Edge got it all on video Well that was my day how was yours?? airann 1 #2 August 26, 2001 I have had daze like that. Very weird. I recall a time back when everything was bizarre. My roomate, Levin never had a cutaway 680 jumps I think and he had 2 in one week. And then I forget what all happened in this one weekend, I think the emergency door blew out of one Otter. AND they found it and it was unharmed. Back on the plane and off she went.
