DZ near Seattle

Recommended Posts

I'll be in Seattle in September
It will be my first trip to the USA. Of course, I want to skydive there :)
Can anybody answer to some my stupid questions?
1. Where I can jump near Seattle? I know Skydive Arizona, but i think it's far from S.
2. Which documents I need for solo jump? I have FAI "B" licence, medical insurance and logbook with 300+ jumps - is it enough?
3. How much money I'll need?
Thank you beforehand and hope to your help.

Umm....check with Kapowsin Air Sports. I believe that is the closest. Check with the DZ directory on this site for the Kapowsin web site. I'm sure that will be plenty of documentation but e-mail the DZ directly to make sure.

Tonight I fly out of Oakland, CA for a weekend in Seattle. Tomorrow I will be jumping at Skydive Snohomish which is really close to Seattle. Check out their web site for more detailed info.

I can give you a report after my visit.

I'd stay away from Skydive Snohomish, as the airport owners only allow D licensed jumpers to land in the main landing area--the alternate is several miles away! I'd recommend Kapowsin Air Sports, which is south east of Seattle. Also, Mount Rainier is less than twenty miles to the east--awesome view in free fall.
