wingnut 0 #1 August 29, 2001 yup i get to ride in the world fastest jump ship. well okay it's not quite a jump ship but it's one hell of a plane. 10 seconds to 13,000ft!!! yup that's right it's freaking fast!!!!! your pobly wondering what plane this is, right? well it's the most manuverable production fighter aircraft in the world!!! THE F-16 FIGHTING FALCON!!!!! i'm getting a ride in one tommorow afternoon! It's a rare chance to get a ride in a fighter jet here in the airforce. I got promoted early and it's a big deal so it qualified me for this ride, then i'm in las vegas on a temp. duty and we are doing rides so i get the chance. i had to get a brief on how to eject if needed and how to steer and land under a round parachute. it was funny when the pilot was trying to discribe a plf. it's gona rock!!!! i'll have to bring my pictures to perris to show. i'll get em up on the web when i get back to germany. so wish me luck and i asked the same question: if i eject can i log it....the answer is no, it has to be a predetermined jump, not and emergency escape! PalmettoTiger 1 #2 August 29, 2001 WOW that's awesome Wingnut!! I would shed blood - not necessarily my own either - for a chance to ride in a modern fighter. You should eat some bananas before you go for the ride, too, just in case the pilot tries to make you hurl.Blues, squares,PTiger
RemiAndKaren 0 #3 August 29, 2001 Wingy: You really seem to be a nice guy and all, but F**K YOU !!!!!!Seriously, what an opportunity! But no matter how tempting it is, I dont think the AF would like a non-required ejection.. lolRemiMuff

Tell them you want to drop bombs! Nothing like screaming over a range at 500 ft with a 550kias ingress. Just remember, it only has one engine. A few years back a crew chief was taking a ride in Germany and sucked in a bird. He landed on the golf course. You can log those jumps on a military jump log. I dont remember the code off the top of my head.
