freeflir29 0 #1 September 4, 2001 As a skydiver that is. I was working 4 till midnight Friday which sucked! I hopped in the car at about 5 till...Shhhhh....dont tell my boss. Drove all night, about 6 hrs, to get back to Raeford, NC. Pulled up at 645AM. Tired as hell. Of course, everyone was hung over and had only gone to sleep a couple hours prior so I just put the seat back and caught a little hour or so nappy. The weather was pretty crappy all weekend so I didn't do too many jumps. The first one was a 7,000 hop out of a Cessna. I got on that one to fill the load so a student could go up for a 10 sec delay. Man, I hadn't jumped a Cessna since I was at Raeford last year. It was fun and I got in a couple sit to head down transitions before bellying out to pull. I got reaquainted with the Dragon on this jump. I forgot how weird the thermals and rotors are there. If you learn to land at Raeford you can land anywhere. I did a couple more Otter jumps over the weekend and generally had a good time seeing and drinkin with the "Skymonkey Crew" I'm sorry I missed the Friday night beacon rides. The party Saturday night was great with free food and several free kegs. I just wish they would make Randy fly the Otter again. The weather could have been better but good friends made the drive worthwhile. Hope to see all you guys again soon. P.S. Almost forgot. With the boredom of altitude depravation due to cloud cover it was decided to have a mini swoop meet. A straight course was set up and the hooking began! It was very entertaining to watch. No one got hurt. Other than some missing skin here and there and many grass stained jump suits. Skymonkeyone was making some mad swoops on the Cobalt 65. It was a good weekend in spite of the weather!"The cab driver said... he recognized my girly by the back of her head" -Beasty BoysClay

I can only imagine all the farm/swamp/back-of-pickup-truck responses you'll get. JustinMy Homepage
