weid14 0 #1 September 4, 2001 What a most excellent weekend we had at CK's! Weather was super, Casa, Otter, Caravan, Stearman on flight line. What a blast. John and Dale are great DZO's - best around.oh, and rumor has it a skyvan full time starting in the very near future.
Stacy 0 #2 September 5, 2001 I second that motion! I quite liked the special 4-way Otter loads on Monday! YAHOOOO!!! Skyvan was announced, full time. Double Yahoo!!! How 'bout that semi big way Dave? =c) Awesome coaching weekend, pretty entertaining evenings... sigh. We got a team room finally... watch out- we're redecorating!! See ya at the NSL Playoffs, buddy!!Ultimate Capricious StacyStacyhttp://astro.temple.edu/~sweeks
PhillyKev 0 #3 September 5, 2001 Sweetness!!! Skyvan, eh??? Rock on!!! Definitely a great weekend. Monkey Claw magic was happening all around. Everyone I talked to hit new goals in freeflying from beginner to experienced, and not just on organized loads, just fooling around those who couldn't sit stable before did, those who couldn't go head down before did...must have been something in the air. Oh wait...that was us cielos azules y cerveza fría-Kevin
weid14 0 #4 September 5, 2001 10 people in an otter is a beautiful thing.... I'm sure you will decorate accordingly (nice frou frou colors) :) Looking forward to the playoffs... looks like parts of Magic may show up, too!
rogue108 0 #5 September 6, 2001 Another reason Cross Keys is THE premier Northeast dropzone. The Skyvan is here !!! Full time tailgate fix!!!It arrived today (Weds) and we were all able to jump it as soon as it landed. The flying toaster is pretty nice. 19 or so minutes to altitude, spacious even with 15-18 jumpers, and noisy.Cross Keys Rocks, it has everything a jumper would ever want. Big fast planes, Training in every disclipline possible. Excellent on site facilities for jumpers.
weid14 0 #6 September 6, 2001 So did you buy beer for being th first to jump the Van? Those are some noisy aircraft. -- I still say it should be painted to look like a bummble bee.
Kelly 0 #7 September 6, 2001 beer was brought by EVERYONE who was on the first load out of the skyvan. Manifest made sure of that by calling everyone on their 'first' over the loud speaker. and I think we may have even gotten the DZO to buy beer since its his first time owning a skyvan. hahakel

It was cold! but no worries, the weather was a lot warmer tonight than its been the past few nights. I wasnt feeling the froggie anymore.,,, no biggie.kel
