Merrick and I had the priviledge to meet Dzbone today. What a great guy!! Well, except that he brought out his round reserve to show us cuz we were curious since neither of us had ever seen a round. The smell of it is killer if you haven't jumped in a while!! :) Whenever you get near a puter again, Carl....thank you for making the extra effort to come up this way and meet us!

Hey, guys! It was great meeting you, too. That was the best (ie only non-truck-stop) lunch we had the whole trip! Thanks for taking time out of your day to hang.
Here's a picture of us outside the Daily Grind. Love to all my friends here. I'm going to post a travelogue this evening, but in summary: not to be too nationalistic here, but the United States is an awesome country. We are so lucky to have it. Those of you who live here and haven't seen your own country, or those of you who don't live here and haven't had a chance to visit owe it to yourselves to get in a car and drive through our amazing back yard. It is an awe-inspiring place.

And Merrick....sorry things didn't work out on the N.C. thing.....I had my fingers crossed......it's good to see you up and around on that cast. When will you be able to fall out of a plane again ?

Thanks man... I actually got the job, but then apparently got screwed out of it. Not sure I'd want to work for a company that handled things the way they did anyway.... Oh well!
Not sure when I'll be back up.... I thought it would be real soon until tonight. We just got back from my best friends wedding, where I was the best man. I had promised I wouldn't wear that big-ass boot thing, so tonight was the first night that I've put on a shoe in about a month & 1/2... Needless to say, what I thought would be cake ended up hurting like hell after a few hours. [discouraged face]So, long story short, I thought I'd be back in the air in about a week or so, it may end up being a little longer [/discouraged face]
Carl - it was definitely good meeting you as well, it was really cool that you came out of your way a bit to hang out. Like Pam said, the sweet smell of that reserve didn't help the already burning itch to skydive that's been building over the last month. LOL Ahhh well, what can you do.. good to see that you guys made it home OK.... Hopefully we'll be moving out to your end of the world soon, so maybe we can make a few jumps together! I feel so badly for you JT! I'm already 'itching' after having not jumped for about a month now :/ I'm really glad to have gotten to jump with you before you left though!
Speaking of itch...there was this song I heard a few times called 'The Itch' or some such...anyone know if that's really the title and who sings it?

Hell.... I just threw -Purple Liquid Metal - fingernail polish all over my fireplace, my arm, my carpet, just missed the kitten, its everywhere, everywhere! Not one drop got on my toe nails. Syht, I was just trying to do the cool Ramon paint job.
Nobody will notice ..... it will just look like another AirAnn bruise.
