christopherm 0 #1 October 3, 2001 I was wondering if anybody knew of any dealers who financed their gear sales or accepted payment plans? I really need a rig and really don't have the money right now. thanks!

skybytch 273 #3 October 3, 2001 Not exactly a payment plan, but most dealers will order custom gear for you with a deposit, balance due prior to the gear shipping to you. I doubt they'd complain if you gave them half down, then $50-100 or so a week until it was paid for/delivered. Example - a custom color PD main canopy is taking about 10-12 weeks right now. If your price was, say, $1300, you could put down $650 deposit, then send in $65 a week for 10 weeks. Canopy would be paid in full prior to it arriving. pull and flare,lisa---"I wish I was the full moon shining off a Camaro's hood..."

lazerq3 0 #5 October 4, 2001 Get a loan. Just be very carefull if you use a CC. Alot of them say 2.9 or 1.9 interest for the first year, and it sounds all good but if you dont pay it off with in that year it then goes way up or if your just like a day or two late it jumps to like 354656%. You get the picture!! Go through a bank or credit union and get the 7% varible or 10% fixed. it beats 13+% with a CC. Just my thoughtsjason
HotLoad 0 #6 October 4, 2001 I went to lendingtree.com and applied for a "debt consolidation" loan. The interest rate sucks, but if you do like I do and pay like $500 a month it won't be so bad. The least you can do to pay it off is take the excess cash you would spend for student/rental gear and apply that to your payment.
