Iflyme 0 #1 October 21, 2001 Hi guys...It's been a long time since I last posted -- since I even dropped by Dropzone.com. I've just watched the "Concert for New York" on the web, and it really got me thinking about a bunch of you. Since Sept 11th, I, as a television news producer, have probably seen more stories about the terrorist attacks, anthrax, and the war, than the rest of you put together have seen... I really feel the need right now to tell my great American friends out there that I am just sooo damn supportive of you, and I just feel so much for you - and for all you have been thru. I haven't been here for a long time, because a very small group of you have said things that I find very offensive, but for the rest of my good American friends here -- Sangiro, April, Kelly, Giang, Wingy, Grogs, Carrie, Lazerq3, Speedy, Jumpin K, Billy, Jessica, Sharky, Monk, Mark M, (and whoever else I forget to mention now because of all the beers, ) -- I am so fully behind you 100%... I do everything I can to make my television viewers understand what the fu%k is going on in this world... you guys are the BEST!!! My country, and the citizens of Canada -- are right there with you. It may get lost in the shuffle sometimes, but we should not forget: Canada and the USA are best buds. I can see your country from the shores of my island (Vancouver Island), and I am determined to stand by you. My family will make it's donation to the NY fund ... I have very good friends on the east coast -- my friends' sister was to have an appt. in one of the world trade towers at 2pm the afternoon of Sept 11th... Anyway, just wanted to let you guys know that even thought I don't come here anymore, I'm thinking about you very much!!!Hang in there... FRank

SpeedRacer 1 #3 October 21, 2001 Hey, thank you, Iflyme, and I also would like to thank all our UK friends who have had the cojones to join in with the USA against terrorism. And in case it has escaped anyone's attention, the attack in NY was against the WORLD trade center, not the American Trade Center. Hundreds of British died there too, as did Irish, Japanese, Koreans, Chinese, Mexicans, French, Spaniards, and Muslims. The terrorists, even though they killed muslims, are fighting against the ENTIRE CIVILISED WORLD, and at the same time, trying to hijack Islam in order to turn us against each other. I thank Canada and the United Kingdom for recognizing this for what it is & reminding the world: DON'T BELIEVE THE HYPE!!I also believe, and I say this as an Irish Catholic American, that individual Americans need to stop giving money to the I.R.A. This is the twenty-first century!! If we're going to say we're against terrorism, we have to be against terrorism straight across the board. Pipe bombs are not the solution to peace in Ireland.Speed RacerThe problem with the world is that everyone is a few drinks behind-Bogart
Michele 1 #4 October 21, 2001 Hi, FrankI wasn't on your list (you're gonna get that a lot, I bet), but I am going to assume that since I don't remember pissing you off, I haven't (and if I have, please blame it on the beer, and accept my apologies).Your choice to stop posting here has been echoed by many. I wish you (and they) would re-choose. You bring to the table a valid point, and while I may not always agree, I always want to hear a different thought. If I wanted the same thoughts in my head that are in my friends, I never would have started jumping, you know? And thank you! from the bottom of my heart for your work in the media, and your attempts to bring the situation into clearer focus for your viewers. This is an amazing time, and the effects of the WTC are just now beginning to show themselves - in the stress, in the economy, in the burgeoning grace which I see around me. And we need to know that there is support for us, from all quarters - this is a global thing, and we need to view it as that. So thank you for your work - and please come back and post more. You're missed. And Speedy? As an Irish American, to my knowledge I have never given a dime to the IRA, and don't want to start now. But thanks or the remiinder.
