a very beautiful reserve

Recommended Posts

Well First I'd like to say thanks to all the folks at Denver skydivers!! Steve and Maria, the place was great!!
Now to let ya'll know what happened, I had my first reserve ride!!! After an uneventful solo, I dumped at 3000' ....1.....2....3.....4?????, I hadn't even slowed down a little bit. I looked up I could see my pilot chute, no line stretch, no D-bag, nada. QUICK sweep of the container, and nothing was in the tray. one more look and right....left and I was under my very beautiful reserve for the first time ever! white top skin, black ribs and bottom.
thanks to nick for finding my freebag and main. I should be back up there in two weeks with beer in hand!!

its a bit confusing to me, I don't know what happened to my main. I could not see it over my head, but it was not in the tray. the only thing that I can imagine is that there was a line caught on something, or a baglock at one of the first stows. either way, it wasn't over my head. I know that I was getting low, and there wasn't anything out. so time to chop and go for the reserve.
