Collegiates!!!

Who else plans on going to collegiates? Yeah, I know it's over a month away, but I can't wait for some sun, beer and free jumps (paid for by our club!) Does anybody know if there's a shuttle that runs from Orlando to Lake Wales? (Otherwise, I may have to hitchhike....)

I'll be there for the comp!! What day are you looking at flying in? I might be able to swing by and pick you up at the airport if its after a certina day. I'm interested in hitting the tunnel one night, so if anyone else wants to split some time, let me know and we can work something out....
Looks like the CASA is flying that week so I might bring a raft to do some raft dives with after I'm done competing too A rainy day at the DZ is better then a Sunny day at work

Ill be going, but I might not be able to compete because i am only taking 11 credit hours and USPA requires competitors to be taking 12. Hopefully i ll be able to it looks uncertain at the moment. What universities will you be representing. I go to Florida International University in Miami.
Is anybody else going to the Collegiate Boogie Jan 18-20 in Skydive Williston (Gainesville,FL)??

I might go just for the hell of it...to watch. Im not really good enough to compete. Omar- if you dont want to drive all the way to Gainsville, you can stop in Daytona and ride with me, just let me know. That goes for anyone in the area...should be a good time...

Hey There,
Yep, Phree and I are going. I can't wait. Warm weather rules. It looks like a huge contingent from our DZ will be there that week some competing some just fun jumping. As PhreeZone said we'll be competing in freefly and sport accuracy. Maybe we'll see you there.

That would rock if I could get picked up from Orlando, but if not any references to shuttles and what not would be great! I fly in on the 27th.
My team has a 2-way, and at least 1 freefly group (I might try to, but that would be a VERY scary sight to see!) We may have a 4-way team, but one girl has a non-skydiving related injury that may keep her from jumping.
It's supposed to turn 40 degrees here in a couple of days, so I'm waiting impatiently for some Florida heat....

You might go to which - collegiates or the boogie in Williston? Collegiates is in Lake Wales.. I'll head down there for a couple days, at least.. As for the boogie in Williston.....I'll probably head up for that, too.. Let me know if you're going to either - maybe we can set something up..
I saw that you said you're heading to the tunnel Sat night.. You guys have a group going? I may have to drop by.. I'll be SCUBA diving Sat and Sun, so no jumping, obviously.....but I may stop in at the tunnel.. You guys have a group getting a special rate or something?

I'm from Southern Illinois University and our club plans on bringing a 4-way, 2-way and we wil do some accuracy. This will be our first year competing and we can't wait! What do most of you all do for accomodations? Is there a bunk or is it warm enough to camp? I'll see ya all soon in Lake Wales!

I wish I could be there just to hang out (our club is on indefinite hold and I don't even have an A-license yet, so no competing for me), but I have to go to a wedding in St. Louis instead.

We are trying to scramble some folks for the collegiate boogie....problem is that it is the weekend right after the start of class so i don't know who's willing. I'll be graduated...i'll just have to get some cash together...

I was talking about the Collegiates, but maybe I'll go to both- yeah, we could set something up, that'd be cool. The Embry-Riddle skydiving club's got some time in the tunnel saturday night- although I think its only open to club members, but if I hear otherwise I'll let you know....
