skymama 37 #1 November 19, 2001 Ok, thanks to all of your suggestions, I've decided for sure to do a rodeo dive for my 100th jump, which will be very soon. So, now my question of the day is...how do I do that? I know the general idea, but do you have any tips or pointers for me?AndreaThe brave may not live forever, but the timid may not live at all. freeflir29 0 #2 November 19, 2001 As long as the person you are riding has a very stable belly position you shouldn't have any preoblems. You can launch it almost any way you like. As always, be really careful of flaps and handles when getting into position. Nothing worse than having a reserve deploying into your face....LMAO"Shut up Dummy!"- Fred G Sanford
RemiAndKaren 0 #3 November 19, 2001 is it going to be a 2 way, or something bigger?RemiMuff
skybytch 273 #4 November 19, 2001 Best rodeo dives I've done have been out of a side door aircraft. Have your "pony" stand in the door and you stand right behind him, holding on to the top of his rig. As soon as you exit, transition to sitting on his back and hang on! A reverse rodeo can be fun too... have him back up to the door, you take grips high up on his harness, then as soon as you exit transition to sitting on his crotch. Once you're good and stable add in a little grinding action... pull and flare, lisa
Pammi 0 #5 November 19, 2001 Merrick and I did it out of the Caravan and it was pretty simple. We tumbled a bit at first but flattened out well. Merrick ended up grabbing my legs at one point and pulling them around him. Once stable, it's pretty cool :) Next time I'll have to get video of that..lol.When is the big 100 coming up?? Soon?Family Photos

skymama 37 #10 November 19, 2001 They were running the skyvan the other day, so how should I do the exit if I have to jump out of that?I'm trying to avoid being pied, so I'm not saying when it will be, other than soon! AggieDave 6 #12 November 19, 2001 I would guess that you would stand facing out the back of the Skyvan, in a line. You and the other person, stand facing the back of the other jumper, and grab the risers him/her. Jump off, wrap legs while you're in the burble of the aircraft and HOLD ON...I've never tried that, but it makes sense to me, please tell me if I'm wrong. freeflir29 0 #13 November 19, 2001 Stand behind the pony and wrap your legs around him as you exit. Easy as that! If you tumble a little don't worry. Thats why it's called a rodeo!"Shut up Dummy!"- Fred G Sanford

mountainman 0 #16 November 19, 2001 yeah.....you can get pied at anytime for your 100th. to avoid that, you would have to tell everyone that you only have 99 jumps.--------------JumpinDuo.com is here!!!
