skymama 37 #1 November 20, 2001 I was all set to buy a Pro Dytter, and then I saw an ad in Skydiving for the "Skytronic fx", that has a freefall computer on it like A Pro Track does, but it costs just a little more than the Pro Dytter. So, my question is, what do you all know about the Skytronic? Just as good? Waste of money? Keep saving my money, skip the Pro Dytter and get a Pro Track? I really want to get an audible soon, because I am doing mostly freeflying now.AndreaThe brave may not live forever, but the timid may not live at all. freeflir29 0 #2 November 20, 2001 If money is a concern look for a Time Out. They are relatively cheap and very reliable. I think the "new" ones are about $120. I got mine used for $30. "Shut up Dummy!"- Fred G Sanford
RemiAndKaren 0 #3 November 20, 2001 the Time Out doesnt reord anything (its an equivalent to the Pro Dytter)RemiMuff
RemiAndKaren 0 #4 November 20, 2001 Andrea: do a search on the gear forum... quite a bit of info on L&B (and their awsome customer service) and Parasport Italia (and their lack of any service whatsoever)RemiMuff
weber 0 #5 November 20, 2001 My buddy just got a Skytronic FX and he likes it. You can get one for $175 at www.unfeathered.com on special right now. The only thing you have to make sure is that it will fit in your helmet.
mountainman 0 #6 November 20, 2001 Get a ProTrack from ParaService for like $260. Seems like a pretty good deal and they are pretty damn sweet. Just make sure you have some place to put it!!-------------http://www.JumpinDuo.com"oh no. Not another one"-Alienangel
ADRNALN 0 #7 November 20, 2001 I would save the cash now and get a Dytter used for $50 and save up for the ProTrack. Then down the road you always have a backup aud.
TALONSKY 0 #8 November 20, 2001 The best item I hae ever bought for skydiving outside of my canopy is my Pro-Track. I know they are more money but the information is really valuable. Beyond being a audible it give you your fall rate and openning allitude. Not to say that skytroncs is bad but why settle for second best, when there is nothing but great things being said about L & B and the Pro-Track.Anyway blue skiesKirk
