With regards to the recent thread started by ClintonRadloff I have a few things to say. They may not be well received, but they're going to be said.

you're doing a bigger disservice to this community with postings like this than ClintonRandloff is with his, often nonsensical postings. This stuff goes on on rec.skydiving, do us all a favor and take it there. It's been said before and I'll say it again, you don't have to even read his postings. Maybe you shouldn't.

Who died and made you moderator? This is a public fourm and he's got a right to post. He's got a right post on old threads, new threads, and even create more threads.
But then you say this:

So what gives? He can only post on old threads and not create new threads (according to you), but at the same time he should be welcomed into this community? How is he going to get into the community if he can't create new threads? Think about it.
A little patience goes a long way here people. I'm sure that way back in the day rec.skydiving was a nice place where people could get information and discuss almost anything, skydiving related or not, without fear of flaming or verbal harassment. It's not like that anymore, now, while comical at times, it's generally not worth my time. It's become a private club where a select few speak in code, newcomers are ridiculed, and unpopular views are quashed. What's to prevent dropzone.com from going that route? Answer: All of us.

I agree. His posts may be annoying at times, but then I just choose not to read them. Flaming him and making generalizations about disabilities we don't completely understand is lowering our own standards.

clinton is a special person, one with learning dissorders, and multiple personalities, do i feel sorry for him...yes, do i envy him, fuk no! would i want to have him in my immediate vicinity, fuk no! clinton's posts as of late haven't really been that bad. What originally got me upset was coming in in the morning and seeing 15 threads that he had pushed to the top to keep alive. And I vented my frustration before I knew about his condition.
Looks like he's at least making an effort to throttle it back a bit so I for one am taking the live & let live attitude. I'm sure Bossman & CN#1 are monitoring the situation.
The outright name-calling is starting to become a bit disconcerting. It does seem things have become a little wreck-ish as of late. Don't know why that is. Don't know what the solution is either -- other than us all maybe trying to think twice before hitting that "Continue" button in anger.

I think you are mistaken. This ain't no damn democracy! All those rights you think you have here...you probably don't. This is a moderated forum with very few but very basic rules. Just like any other community people are entitled to expect participants to respect the community rules, or move on. Your posts has been wholly unacceptable for the past few days and it's starting to annoy not only me but also a lot of other people who've been contacting me. Everyone is welcome here, clintonradloff included!
If you wonder what happend to some of your posts or threads, I excercised MY rights on them....
You can not use these forums to launch personal attacks on individuals.
