I agree w/ watcher that television audiences generally prefer Air Raid-style offenses, and that's why Miami-Florida will be better for the advertisers. But even though I have a vested interest in UF being in the Rose Bowl*, I don't think it's better football. I guarantee that a few major upsets each year will be ground-attack teams devouring the clock and keeping Air-Raid offenses off the field. I gotta side with AggieDave on preferred football style here. To me, the perfect play is a 240-pound fullback muscling past the defensive line, steamrolling a linebacker, seeing nothing but a 180-pound safety between him and the goal line.... and PLANTING that safety into the ground with a stiffarm as he rumbles for the touchdown. (EDIT: as pictured here and here, with an enlargement here. *that's the best chance for two SEC teams to go BCS bowls, meaning SC will go to the Citrus Bowl, which means I'll be close enough to Collegiate Nationals to slip away from the family for a few days to cure my ground poisoning and learn from the people who run successful collegiate skydiving clubs.
