John4455 0 #1 November 29, 2001 Has anybody ever jumped at Skydive Cancun in Mexico? I'm going to Cancun in January, and was thinking about checking out the dz.
mountainman 0 #2 November 29, 2001 I have not, but I have emailed with them because Laura and I were going to go next year. Sounds like it is like $30 to 10,000'. Not sure about what kind of plane they have, but I would guess a C-182.If you find anything out about it, let me know. -------------http://www.JumpinDuo.com"oh no. AndyAnderson 0 #6 December 4, 2001 I have worked at Skydive Cancun on and off and it is a beaut place. They are not really geared for regular fun jumpers because of some of the limitations of being in Playa De Carmen, Ocean public beach (landing area) and rain forrest so you have to hit your spot every time. You also have to take your own gear as they don't rent their student gear to experienced jumpers .Both Jerry and Mike (the owners) have worked in the US at Rodger's and various other DZs and are great guys.Even if you only get one jump in there the view is worth the trip.Andy. Blu Skys and see you at CoolidgePs, They have a really clean well maintained
mountainman 0 #7 December 4, 2001 Thanks for the info! I have always wondered about it. Next time you are there, tell them that they need some more info on their website about it.Oh yeah.....and they also told me that you need your B license to jump (and water gear, I assume). Have fun!!-------------http://www.JumpinDuo.com"oh no. Not another one"-Alienangel
