flyhi 24 #1 December 5, 2001 Just heard on the radio that not Texas, not Florida, not Alabama, but Oklahoma was leading the nation in inmate executions this year with 17, three of which were women. Although I can't say much for their gender equality, I salute their efforts to thin out the herd.Oklahoma is OK...unless you do something wrong. flyhi
freeflir29 0 #2 December 5, 2001 "I salute their efforts to thin out the herd."I used to be that way. Events in recent years have made me question the validity of the criminal justice system. I have come to the conclusion that man should not be making that decision. I don't think we are capable of being 100% right 100% of the time. Of course, death penalty or not if someone is wrongly convicted it's not much of a life to sit in prison either........At least if we don't kill them there's always the chance that new evidence can clear an innocent person. Such has happened so many times over the past 10-15 years with the advent of DNA technology. OATSF14 0 #4 December 5, 2001 Great. Not only can OU routinely kick UTs ass in football but we can beat them in this area also.
Slappie 9 #5 December 5, 2001 Easy Newbie!! UT is a touchy subject with me! j/k even though I did go to UT our coach blew to games this year we should have won. CU and OU! Both because our q-back Simms couldn't handle the pressure. IF it wasn't for those two games we'd be National Champs. I hope Major Applewhite shows some people in the Holiday Bowl {Bowing head in shame} How good he really is and makes it high in the draft next year. I'd love to see the Houston Texans sign him. Even though I think a first year team needs a seasoned q-back and a good defencive line. WoW! I did get way OT didn't I.. Please forgive Blues Skies! My New Website with 24hr Chat
