javelin j1

Recommended Posts

hi everybody !
i'm gonna buy Javelin J1, which is rated for PD 143/Tempo 150 reserve
and ZP 150 main. I will try to squeeze Tempo 170 and Safire 149 there.
Safire has bigger packing volume then regular 9 cell ZP canopies and
i wonder how stuffed the container will be. does anybody has similar
configuration and can advise me on that ?
thanks,
stan.

Hooooo....there Trigger.....This would get an educated response in the gear and rigging forum. Here you are more likely to get horrible, distressing pictures posted to your thread..,,.......LOL. I couldn't tell ya.....:)"Carb Heat On....Carb Heat On.....Carb Heat On..."-Phil Polstra :)Clay

Staso,
check out Sunpath's web site, they have a sizing guide which tells you what fits. www.sunpath.com click on sizing.....
Looks like you need a J3 for the Tempo and that's a tight fit.
maybe have to go J4 for that all important Cypres.
Any probs, phone them, they are pretty helpful.

One thing..... if you have a new Tempo DOM after I think August '01, the pack volume went up by a lot. THe new tempo is reinforced like the PD's reserves have been for years. So while the old Tempos packed smaller then a PD, the new ones don't.
Yeah, yeah I know....post it in the Gear and Rigging fourm...

The Safire will fit.. The Tempo will fit if it's not a brand new one.. The newer ones have a larger pack volume......so if it's a few months old or more, it should be fine.. The 170 packs up like a PD143..
