LOTR in one word....

Recommended Posts

My brain -almost- exploded the first two times they said "one hundred and eleven". ANYONE that's read the books knows it's "eleventy one" or "eleventy first". Thank goodness that -eventually- Bilbo says it correctly because I was just about to go punch out the screen.
Other than that, it's a pretty freekin' good flick.

I just kept expecting the elf king dude to tell Frodo, "You see... Mr. Baggins... you're going to help us whether you want to... or not..."
Right, well, off to read the books again, it's been about 10 years, I should refresh my memory...
I was pretty pleased with the movie though...

I thought almost the same thing... that would have been funny..
"How about if I give you the finger, and you give me my phone call?"
I ain't happy, I'm feeling glad

After the movie I stood up and said, "but I thought this was about the clone wars, there wasn't even a single light saber, i don't get it..." kind of loudly. The people I was with thought it was funny, but I got some really strange looks from the uber-geeks in their costumes...
