rendezvous 0 #1 December 20, 2001 Wanted to know if Silk Thermals are as affective as poly - prop thermals for jumping during the winter in the NE. If not are they any good anyway considering they look really thin. Where can you get Poly-prop Balcalavas.

RemiAndKaren 0 #8 December 21, 2001 From what I remember, Capilene is the TM of "Patagonia" for some on of their fabrics. Its a heavier weight fabric then Poly pro. You can get normal or heavier Polypro without paying the extra money you need to have the Patagonia logo by getting "Lifa". Any outdoor or hunting store should have the Lifa products.Silk does not have as good wicking properties as Polypro. Plus its more expensive, plus its a bitch to wash.
