freeflir29 0 #1 December 31, 2001 Mine was good....I didn't jump but did do quite a bit of flying. Did a little cross country on Saturday and finally Solo'd for the second time in my life today (Monday)!!! It went great...pretty darn bumpy approaches but that airport is known for it. Has a huge gravel pit to the north side of the runway. Makes for some interesting turbulence in the last half mile. Oh yeah....went on a date kinda out of the blue Saturday night. I got home at 1130 AM the next day. I guess you can call that a succesful first date. Drum roll please.....6-8 I don't know....:0:0 "I got some beers....Let's Drink em!!!"Clay
spinmaster 0 #2 December 31, 2001 Mine was good and bad. I had two great jumps Friday afternoon. I was planing to go to again on Sat but the Significant Other stepped in and squashed that...so I went and played golf instead. (That'll teach her to interfere with my sky diving plans). Sounds like you were flying over McCullum?
freeflir29 0 #3 December 31, 2001 "Sounds like you were flying over McCullum?"Yep....I live about 4 miles from there so it's really convenient. About a half mile from 575 and Bells Ferry. "I got some beers....Let's Drink em!!!"Clay
BadDog 0 #4 December 31, 2001 The turbulance.in the air or on the ground? Flying or on the date? Just checking. Same number of approaches and landings? No, not on the date. Flying!!CorporateLawyerDave aka BadDog
freeflir29 0 #5 December 31, 2001 "The turbulance.in the air or on the ground? Flying or on the date?"Turbulence in the air....none on the date....My approaches were smooth and stable on the date. Flying...it was a little tougher but I make much better approaches now that I got Dutchboy out of the plane...."I got some beers....Let's Drink em!!!"Clay

freeflir29 0 #7 December 31, 2001 "Try choppers next"I came so close to becoming a whirly bird jock in the Army Guard. It was the 6 year comittment that scared me off at the last minute.....Oh yeah and the fact that the Jacksonville Unit was deploying to Kuwait for 270 days as I was mulling over the paper work..... It might be fun to try some day though.... "I got some beers....Let's Drink em!!!"Clay
skybytch 273 #8 December 31, 2001 Rain. That was my big back to the air with my new rig weekend. Freakin' rain. Didn't even bother going to the dz.I heard they put a few loads up on Sunday afternoon but by then it was too late for me to jump, I'd already been sucking on a couple cervezas...Then I was all set to get off work early today and get at least one in (double my jump totals for 2001 ). Didn't rain, but it didn't exactly clear either. Dammit! So I'll try again tomorrow, I'm not going out or drinking more than a six pack tonight...pull and flare, lisa

freeflir29 0 #11 January 1, 2002 "cheap date" Goooooodddd Girl!!!!Funny this subject came up...I saw some TV show that was comparing BAC levels in men and women. Even if a man and woman are the same body weight and consume the same amount of alcohol the woman will have a higher BAC. Women also typically take longer to metabolize the alcohol in their system. So the moral is....Chics get off cheap at the liquor store!!! "I got some beers....Let's Drink em!!!"Clay

MiataDRM 0 #16 January 1, 2002 I got 2 jumps @ SD Orange (VA)! Beautiful blue sky...@ 32 degrees on the ground! 1st jump was not bad...the 2nd jump after having to go AROUND, I froze my @$$ off! My finger nails were in pain by the time I landed. The day ended w/ MUCH beer & crashed out at the DZ. Not bad for a Sunday in December.**I'm a Pschydiver!Majdi
