mountainman 0 #26 December 28, 2001 I wear Nike AGP trail-running shoes. Just in case I get an off-DZ landing, I want something sterdy, yet comfortable. I still can't figure out those who dont wear shoes. If they land off, they better prey for a ride.http://JumpinDuo.com - come see the fun!!
AggieDave 6 #27 December 28, 2001 I wouldn't be worried about walking so much as worried about snaping a toe off...or atleast breaking one. That's also the reason I went back to shoes from sandals when I downsized my canopy, until I have my landings down where I know I won't biff, or shouldn't biff one in.AggieDave '02Too much of anything is bad, Too much burbon is just right.--MarkTwain
SkymonkeyONE 4 #28 December 29, 2001 I wore a pair of Sabra Negev coral booties (sort of a short version of Isreali desert combat boots) until they literally fell off my feet. I burned them in the fire pit at The Ranch after the Pond Swoop Nationals, then put on a brand-new matching pair that I have had in my possesion for over a year. It's a Chuck thing...Other than those, I wear grey Navy coral dive booties for pond swooping. Those are hard soled, but totally slick on bottom for fantastic surfs. I have flames sewed to the sides of them that I cut out of an old VS-17 panel which flap in the breeze when I am swooping. I also have a set of US mail-issue black high-top rebock copies which have incredibly slick soles. I wear them when it's cold outside or I am doing demos.Other than that, it's tevas with slick soles. My webpage HERE

markbaur 0 #45 January 3, 2002 Rock-climbing shoes. Slick soles for surfs, narrow for easy jumpsuit changes, flexible for feeling the step. One size larger than any self-respecting rock-climber would wear, just for comfort. Plus another size larger so I can wear socks. Next pair will be yet another size larger so I can put in padded insoles for more comfort.
