freefallfreak 0 #52 January 12, 2002 I don't know about anyone else, but I, however prefer not to wear a seatbelt. This does not mean that I don't buckle up. My Polar Bear (check the archives) didn't come with seat belts (originally made in 1949) so I don't have to wear belts. I did, however, install 5-point harnesses and use them, along with a full roll cage. Let's face it. Anyone that uses a 600+ hp machine as an everyday ride and uses a drag chute to slow from high speeds needs something to keep from being thrown through the front windscreen. Except the front windscreen is only 6 inches tall and I don't fit through it...lol. And with no door handles to open to bail out, I'd bounce around like a ping pong ball in a boxcar if I had a serious accident...lol. Hence, the 5 point harness. skymedic 0 #54 January 12, 2002 Weird thing is most of the accidents where I have seen people ejected (superman style) from not wearing seatbelts...they are usualy crushed by there own car.....sucks...for them...and for me...I hate doing paperwork on DOA's....so anyway...I always wear my seatbelt...someone had said something about "if he had his seatbelt on he would've been crushed....the rollovers than I have seen where the people wore there belts and there roofs were compacted down multiple feet were not "crushed"....Oh also...another reason to wear your seatbelts...is if you drive an older car (as in no airbag) you WILL be imprinted with whatever vehicle that you drive..right on the old chest....I have scene chevy, ford, even a volvo and mercedes symbol....and it hurts too...OUCH.....marc"...a mind stretched with new idea's will never regain its shape"

I'm a poor skydiver whose rig is worth three times what my wheels are worth... my car was born loooong before airbags...Car or airplane - seatbelts are cool. pull and flare,lisa--"Where's my beer?" - Al Stephens "Oh, was this yours? - Lisa
