skybytch 273 #1 January 13, 2002 I downloaded audiogalaxy's satellite this morning... three things that are pissing me right off about it.First - when I'm offline, I know I'm offline. Generally I'm offline because I want to be offline. Why do programmers feel the need to include code into their programs that pops up my "connect to the internet" window every two minutes while I'm offline? This is part of why I offed napster and aimster... I know, I can close the icon in my system tray and it will stop this b.s. but what a pain in the ass.Second - It's the middle of the day on a weekend and I can't stay connected to their server because they are too busy. Uh... if you know something is going to be popular and heavily used, shouldn't you be sure that you have enough resources to support all the users??Third - I'm here at dropzone.com. I want to be at dropzone.com. I bring up the satellite to see if maybe, just maybe, the audiogalaxy server will connect and what does it do? Takes me from here to audiogalaxy.com! If they can include code to open a "connect to the internet" window while I'm offline, why the hell can't they include code that will open a frickin' new browser window when I try to connect to their server?Grrr.... livin' up to my nickname today....pull and flare,lisa--

skybytch 273 #4 January 13, 2002 Thanks guys! Morpheus does indeed rock, at least for common tunes. A bit hard to find some of the more off the wall stuff I'm looking for (Thomas Dolby's Key to her Ferrari, some Timbuk 3 songs from their 2nd album and several Beat Farmers tunes for example) but I figured those would be hard to come by. pull and flare,lisa--
AggieDave 6 #5 January 13, 2002 AG is definately a good source for hard to find music. I've found, though, its better run it only when I'm gettting music, turn it off otherwise. You can't just click the X to get it to go away, you have to go to File and Exit, you'll get a pop-up saying you won't beable to download, etc. Just click yes and enjoy having it turned off for a while. Snowflake 0 #6 January 14, 2002 PM me I've got the first three Dolby albums and Eden Ally and Big shot in the dark by T3 can't remember if either of those is the second album. No Beat Farmers though. I don't leave Morpheus up but if you let me know when your on I'll leave it up. I like your taste in music now tell me you've read Neuromancer and I'll have to consider moving to CA :-PJG
Pammi 0 #7 January 14, 2002 I really like Morpheus also, since everyone recommended it to me a few weeks ago I've used it a lot. Not a lot of country (I wanted to make a CD with just country on it also for when I'm in that kind of mood...shut up), but that's okay. Got Incubus, Offspring and the like just fine :)Closing pin jewelry
