skybytch 273 #1 January 13, 2002 What fun today was! Did my taxes this morning ($2200 coming back from the feds; thank you Mr IRS man ), then headed out to the dz in the early afternoon. $35 registration got me a cool tshirt, $15 jumps, $1 beers, lotsa people to jump with and PERFECT weather! Where? Perris of course! Did a pointless 10 way (but I was in my slot and happy with my flying - and I'm pretty tough on myself) as the BEER jump on my new bootie suit. Then switched to the freefly suit for another solo - the sit is coming along nicely thank you! My coworker Steve told me to quit thinking so damn hard about it and just do it. Worked! Can't wait for tomorrow! Hope your weekend's are going just as good... pull and flare,lisa--"Where's my beer?" - Al Stephens "Oh, was this yours? - Lisa
Jimbo 0 #2 January 13, 2002 I wish I was in California. I learned today that even it's warm in January, it's still January and January is not a warm month. Damn east coast.-Jim

AggieDave 6 #5 January 13, 2002 Wow, it was a beautiful day in Texas, SDHouston had $12 SuperOtter jumps today (and tomorrow), so it was a great day (read my other thread to see, if you want). Iflyme 0 #6 January 13, 2002 Winds strong enough here today that standing on the ground was like being in freefall... better be calmer tomorrow!

Jabeln79 0 #8 January 13, 2002 Beautiful day hear in the Midwest as well. A little windy but for January you got a love it. Temps were in the 40's which is now warm to me from jumping the last couple weekends. FOr the most part Blue Skies. I nailed a sit for the first time, in a vertical position, usually i end up on my back with my legs above my head.. But all in all a great day.
scottbre 0 #9 January 13, 2002 Oh yea, today was a great day for skydiving here, well at least good enough to skydive, which is better than anything else as of late. Anyway, I spent the whole day at the DZ, ON THE GROUND. No other skydivers showed up. What a bunch of pussies. You would think that after a month's worth of crappy cold weather, there would be a bunch of people itching to get in the air. Guess not. Anyway, going back tomorrow and hopefully someone will show up. Geez, the only thing more annoying that bad weather that makes it so you can't jump is, when you can't jump because noone shows up to fill out a load. "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. Tongue-tied & twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I."
