johnny1488 1 #1 January 12, 2002 Hey, Anyone who is enjoying their off-season withdrawl from the sport by watching videos over and over may want to help me out with this question about the music in Crosswind. I can't read the artists and song names for the music on the tape and I'd like to download it from the net and make a skydive son/Jogging cd for myself. If anyone can get me a list of those songs from their tape that would be great.:)
flow 1 #2 January 12, 2002 It's been a long time since I last saw the film, but I remember atleast one of the songs. That is Orbital - P.E.T.R.O.L. and it is the one that plays on thebackground when that guy exits the plane really low.
johnny1488 1 #3 January 12, 2002 Thanks, that helps:) Anyone else? Also I'm Kim. I'm registered, but every time I login and try to post it keeps putting me on as my boyfriend!!! I don't know.
Pammi 0 #4 January 12, 2002 LOL! Sorry to hear that Kim, but welcome anyway :) You are actually logging in each time? If someone logs in and checks the box to save it then it'll be logged in when you get on, so you have to log that person out and log back in yourself. Us two skydiver households get used to it :)Closing pin jewelry

I for one don't have an original copy, I now have a copy of the original. Maybe find someone in your area (look it up on dz.com here, I'm sure there is someone in your state) or someone not in your area (look it up on dz. com here, I'm sure there is someone not in your state) who will copy it and send you one for less. Now there are just more computers in peoples houses and it is more widespread, so the music industry wants to make more money like they always have.
 scottbre 0 #20 January 17, 2002 Well, here I go.QuoteJust pointing out a bad analogy.I don't think your analogy is a very good analogy. When you make mp3's off of CD's those mp3's are no where near the quality that the CD's are. Whereas with a cable splice you are getting exactly the same thing, quality and all.The other problem I have with the "record companies" arguements against mp3s, is that they say you aren't supporting the artists when you have mp3's of their's. I think this is a faulty argument for a number of different reasons:1.) The artist generally get a much smaller share from the sales of their albums than the record companies do. So what they say is that you aren't supporting the bands, what they mean is that you aren't giving them your money.2.) There are many bands who voluntarily put there stuff out there on mp3. The bands like this, the fans like it, but record companies don't.3.) Finally to say that you shouldn't be able to make mp3's because it takes away from record sales is stupid, because a lot of people, myself included, feel that CD's are far too overpriced and elect to only buy used CD's. Who get's the money for the used CD's? Not the artist, not the record companies, just the store that sold it. So if they are going to make mp3 distribution illegal because it detracts from "sales" then they should make used album sales illegal for the same reason. But no worries, there will always be teenagers whose tastes shift with the wind who will think it is a good deal to spend 18 bucks of their parents' money on the lastest album by some group that the record companies have a nice short leash on, and who no one will remember in a year. I do know people who say they never buy CD's anymore because they can get whatever they want on mp3, and I think that is wrong. I also have albums that I don't yet have CD's of, but if I have them for very long I end up liking them enough to buy the CD (when I find it in a used CD store somewhere). It's just an extra step in how I purchase music. It seems to work fairly well for me. I have very few CD's that I once liked and now don't. "Can't keep my mind from the circling sky. You are ripping off a fellow skydiver, and that just ain't right.Widespread bootlegging will inevitably endanger future film production.Patrick, Norman, et al, spend a lot of effort ensuring that the films are high quality , eg filming on 16mm etc. If you make a copy, you get a shitty version, thus reducing your enjoyment. Its illegal, but hey, who doesn't break the law from time to time. Now, I'm not saying that I'm whiter than white on this subject, but at least don't go advocating bootlegging on a public forum.Thats it, 'nuff said, cyaD
 johnny1488 1 #22 January 18, 2002 Hey why not? The record companies can't very well sue every kid who has a radio and a tapedeck, but they CAN get verifiable data from the computers and with THAT they can make a case, and they did. So go ahead and hook up to my cable, I don't mind. My boyfriend and I did it to the bitch downstairs for a WHILE:):)
 johnny1488 1 #23 January 18, 2002 WOW where did you come from-are you my brother??? I totally agree with EVERYTHING!!! Glad you typed it all up and not me. Are your fingers bleeding?? You're right about where the bands get their $----Concert tickets, paraphenelia (spelling?) not record sales as much. And that is just wrong when kids copy the music and don't buy the cds, because that is exactly what the government slapped Napster for. So those jerks that really do that are the reason (or one of the reasons) why Napster isn't around like it was any longer. You're right, this isn't the place for this discussion.
