skybytch 273 #1 January 20, 2002 Wow what a day yesterday! More than doubled my jump numbers for this year - did 5 jumps, all formation loads, in my slot on every one. The last one was jump 799. Most interesting jump was the third one - we were using the SkyVan as lead and an Otter as trail; I was floating on the trail plane. The school put a disabled tandem on our load, they went out first on their own pass. We came back around for our jump run, opened the door and climbed out. Tried to duck down behind Andy to block the wind but it wasn't working... my face felt like ice! Then the SkyVan breaks off - they called a go around due to the spot. Back in the airplane for the floaters... well, all except for Chuck who was rear floating. We tried to pull him back in but no luck - he had one long and lonely skydive! Around for another jump run, open the door, get ready to climb out, not again! Sigh. Around we go for ANOTHER jump run - that time the spot was good and we got to go. Jump went to shit, but that's kinda to be expected considering we were over 12000 for over twenty minutes with no oxygen - can you say hypoxia? Oh, and in case you didn't already know, tequila mixed with beer on an empty stomach is bad. Thanks to Chris (Albatross) for standing next to me, bringing me water and helping me to the porcelain altar. pull and flare,lisa--
