Gosh, I dunno... I've never been that desperate.
Okay, sorry, couldn't resist.
Hey, I've been desperate enough to take a bottle of JD on a date before........but the bottle never lasted long enough for there to be a second date..

Thanks for the input. I just thought it would be a cool factoid to know. Anyways I see the point you all are making so I will just drink it and be happy

Sorry to burst your bubble, but once its bottled, spirits no longer age. Even single malt scotch: a 12 year old that has been sitting in you bar for 10 years is still a 12 year.
That being said, it may have sentimental value, and you may have grown attached to it, but better hurry, coz it will be hard to ask her for a date if you're friends!

You're on the right track there.once its bottled, spirits no longer age
However, I'd rather say "once bottled, whisk(e)y no longer matures." If you keep a bottle of 16YO around for 10 years, of course it'll be 26 years old. But it won't have changed a damn since then and even after those 10 years, it'll still taste like 16YO.

even if you do find out what vintage that bottle is, will it really matter when you wake up on the floor around noon tomorrow to find it empty?
