AggieDave 6 #1 January 21, 2002 What are people's top speeds in fall rate and what position was it acheved in?Obviously, FF head down will get higher numbers then RW, so if you know, post both. PhreeZone 20 #2 January 21, 2002 Belly- 130Sit - 148 (Constant) (perfect fall rate IMHO)Stand- 210Never held HD long enough to count it.I want to touch the sky, I want to fly so high ~ Sonique
prost 0 #3 January 21, 2002 Belly--150 I have done video of sit flys on my belly.Sit and head down-----Not sure...no pro-trakcoming out of the corner on final------really fastWilliam
AggieDave 6 #4 January 21, 2002 I've never tried to top out my belly speed...hmm, that could be a fun dive. That was my normal, relaxed arch speed.Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.-General George Patton-
prost 0 #5 January 21, 2002 That was in my wing suit. It is nothing but nylon if you tuck in the wings, but I think I could go a little faster on my belly if I had too.William
AggieDave 6 #6 January 21, 2002 That'd be cool. See if you can race a head downer down...Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.-General George Patton-
PhreeZone 20 #7 January 21, 2002 Uh.... get a baggier suit! Thats too fast to play with for fun dives, and still a touch fast for 4 way. For a sit at 200.... you are going to need to slow down a lot if you want to have many people play with you. I like my 148 because a skyball is at 155 and thats just an arm motion up to get to that speed. And that slow lets the floaty people play with me.I want to touch the sky, I want to fly so high ~ Sonique
AggieDave 6 #8 January 21, 2002 Yeah, I know, I have a Freedoms Means Choice FF suit coming soon. Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.-General George Patton-
Viking 0 #9 January 21, 2002 Were you thinking of me when you made this post?? j/kUmm since i only have 16 jumps i havn't tried freeflying so.My only recorded speed was 150ish on my lvl 5 aff, i wasn't even trying. i would have to borrow someones pro-track and do a jump of just hard arch to see what i max out at. But with a good tight (and sturdy!!!) jumpsuit i wouldn't want my suit blowing up doing 150+!! n2skdvn 0 #10 January 21, 2002 227 hd used my pit specialits not my fault,my mind was not clearits all because of the heineken beer......
chopchop 0 #11 January 21, 2002 I'm not sure if this is right or not because I haven't seen that speed before but my ProTrack recorded a 257 on a solo hd yesterday in Z Hills. Could be something funky because it is inside my helmet and I understand they can have odd readings if mounted in there.chopchopPD makes canopies all day long, you only have one life, when in doubt, cut away...
