rgoper 0 #1 January 26, 2002 yesterday one of enron's ex top execs was found in his automobile in sugarland texas with a single gunshot wound to the head, and a suicide note of which contents have yet to be revealed. J. Clifford Baxter apparently took his own life following the debacle at enron, houston's leading (ex leading) energy giants. the senate investagative staff summoned all 52 of enron's execs to capitol hill, to start debriefing them on the chain of events leading to the fall of the corporate giant, starting feb 4th.it's a sad day in america, our own corporations stealing from the poor, and giving to the richer, kinda like the "reverse robin hood" antic. i prophesized that of the 52 summoned to capitol hill to testify, at least 10% would take there'e own lifes before appearing. one down..........so farRichard"Gravity Is My Friend"
Aviatrr 0 #2 January 26, 2002 It's a pretty sad situation, I must say.....many people have lost tens of thousands of dollars, some even more.. The execs just got rich off the whole deal.. Maybe some of those responsible will thin out the gene pool a bit more, as the one did.. Hell, I probably wouldn't know anything about the situation if it weren't for the fact that I invested some money in Enron(after the big market tumble) and made decent returns - so I have to wonder how many people actually know all about this debacle - and how many of 'em actually care..Mike
