flow 1 #2 January 27, 2002 Umm, nothing as cool as yours, and mine could be actually be some sortof an nightmare rather than a dream. I really don't remember much ofit as it's quite long time ago I "saw" this, but I'll do my best.Okay here we go.(Dreammode ON)I was B.A.S.E. jumping with my friend and had lots offun during the day, and it was cool that we didn't need to climb tothe mountain all the time (hey, it was a dream :) and we could spendmore time on jumping. Then on a one jump, I was doing a tracking jumpand everything went fine, until I found myself way too low, I think itwas somthing like 100ft or so, and realised that I had my skydivingrig instead of a base rig and thought hell this thing won't openquickly enough to save me, well, it did. I woke up.(Dreammode OFF)I'd say quite an dream since I've never been B.A.S.E. jumping. :)j.
jtval 0 #3 January 27, 2002 well i would say that could be a problem. make sure you dont find yourself that low with a a nice square, stable and steerable main(or even a reserve if need be!) Have fun, LIVE FREE, SkydiveJT
Skyrose7 0 #4 January 27, 2002 Well, here I am again. I just cannot resit this forum. I had a dream that i didn't have my rig on that every time I put my arms out, it was like a parachute. I landed in a PLF the first time, but then (in my dreeam) I really wanted to go up again. Again, the second time I didn't time I didn''t have my rig on, and I put my arms out the same and landed perfect. It was awesome..

Jumperpaula 0 #7 January 27, 2002 I don't have them alot anymore, but my first year, I used to have these "NIGHTMARES" that I jump with no altimeter. It used to scare the shit out of me. I would wake up in a sweat. Seems really silly now, lots of people jump with no Altimeter. Fly Your Slot !
TheMarshMan1 0 #8 January 27, 2002 I've actually had a few skydiving dreams lately. Just the other night, I had a dream that somehow I got my own main wrapped around me, but managed to get the reserve out. I landed safely with my main wrapped around my entire body (incl. my face). I think. It was confusing...lol.
Emmie 0 #9 January 27, 2002 I had this dream when I first started skydiving, but I can still remember it because it was so cool. I dreamed that my dropzone was on a moving island in the sky. There were clouds on the edges of it, so you couldn't tell where the land and the sky separated. People would be flying off of it, and landing, but noone had parachutes, people just flew around like birds. It was probably the best dream I ever had. mnischalke 0 #13 January 29, 2002 I had a dream last night that I had a beer in my hand instead of the altimeter. It was a can of Bud. Something was going through my mind that I wanted to see if you could drink it on the way down. I somehow lost half of it because it was streaming out of the top like a contrail. I opened, stowed my slider and finished the beer. Note to self: Not so many mushrooms in the stirfry so close to bed time.mikeA bucket of Jet A can heat an entire county if burned all at once. Probably would be better flying on your back when opening the can. :)j.
AggieDave 6 #15 January 29, 2002 No, but I drank a...ahhh..."coke" while under canopy once. We were doing a 5 mile cross country from 11k. Really fun, actually, nice sunset load. Just hold the can to your side, though, since they sort of shake up a bit when you ride to altitude. Oh, don't drop it either, those things could take out an Afgan tank with the velocity they would get...Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.-General George Patton-
freeflir29 0 #16 January 29, 2002 One thing to consider about drinking anything on a long canopy ride. I have heard more than one story of guy at 8,000 ft. On his third beverage and now realizes he has to pee. Not an easy proposition while hanging in the harness...."I got some beers....Let's Drink em!!!"Clay
jtval 0 #17 January 29, 2002 OK. DOES THE "BEVERAGE" FOAM LIKE CRAZY DUE TO THE LACKING ATMOPHERIC PRESSURE? OR IS IT NOT THAT MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE?(I KNOW THAT THING IS SHAKEN LIKE CRAZY BUT WOULDNT IT FLOW OVER ANYWAY?Have fun, LIVE FREE, SkydiveJT
AggieDave 6 #18 January 29, 2002 Crap, I don't know, all I know is that it sprayed everywhere. I figured it was do to the can vibrating against the plane on the way to altitude.Success is how high you bounce when you hit bottom.-General George Patton-
jtval 0 #19 January 29, 2002 ah, just figured i'd ask. i guess the important thing is that you were able to consume most of it!Have fun, LIVE FREE, SkydiveJT
