E150 0 #4 January 30, 2002 Oh! Whats it called, do you know? Do they have a website? Am I being lazy?
skymama 37 #5 January 30, 2002 yes, you're being lazy! I've seen it on the web before. Try ground-rush.com, or even the USPA website. I've heard the landing area is really small though, and you might need a "C" license, but I'm not entirely sure on that.AndreaThe brave may not live forever, but the timid may not live at all. E150 0 #6 January 30, 2002 Ok - thanks. I will.
PhreeZone 20 #7 January 30, 2002 You will need a D licence and Water Gear. Its almost as small as a Demo area. Plus if you only want 10k... Since you are in FL, visit a place with 13k and BIG planes and lots of landing area.I want to touch the sky, I want to fly so high ~ Sonique

TheMarshMan1 0 #12 January 30, 2002 OK, so maybe I'm not crazy. I read the article, that must be what I was thinking of...thanks Andrea!
 nws01 0 #13 January 30, 2002 I jumped in Marathon last week with the group from Homestead. The airport let them jump. AerOhio owners brought there twin otter down and it was awesome. We jumped Tuesday and Wednesday and there was probably only 8 people there on Wednesday and the Aerohio owners went up anyway. The landing area is small and really rocky and there was tons of turbulence from the concrete and trees. Power lines about four stories high are right by the landing area and there is a major road with lots of traffic there too. You have to have a C license / 100 jumps to do it and you must rent flotation gear. The group from Aerohio talked about doing it again in March. I would definetly contact them to have them e-mail you if they do. You jump out over the ocean and all you can see is water all around with a little piece of land down below to land on. Sunset load we did hop and pops from 14k and it was one of the most amazing things I have ever done. 14 K every load for only $20 jump tickets.Nathan
 mountainman 0 #14 January 31, 2002 Holy cow!! I went to Key West in July. After not answering my emails at Marathon FOREVER...I finally got someone on the phone that told me "no fun jumpers". I did stop by there and look at the place, closed. small runway, one cessna, lot's of obsticles. Then I read the piece about the boogie in Marathon. NOW THAT I WOULD LOVE TO GO TO. I almost Parasailed, just to get a fix and the sight from under canopy....but It looked too dangerous Something about a BOAT pulling me under canopy just didn't sit right. Fly Your Slot !
