SpeedRacer 1 #1 January 31, 2002 Here is the link for Skydive the Point in West Point, VA. Click here I put this up because it's a very interesting and elaborate DZ website. Skydive the Point is one of the oldest dropzones around. (It will be celebrating its fortieth anniversary in July, so come on down for the festivities.)Click on the "History" link to learn some cool skydiving stories from the sixties. Lots of other rare skydiving photos from the 60s 70s 80s and 90s.If I can return to skydiving after buying a house, I'll probably return there to do my recurrency jump(s), since it is the dropzone I'm most familiar with (and it's where I did my first jumps!)later!Speed Racer"Fill your hand, you son-of-a-bitch!" LawnDart21 0 #3 January 31, 2002 Trivia question, what DZ is the oldest DZ in the country?
weid14 0 #4 January 31, 2002 depends on how you define it... oldest in operation at the same place, or oldest withthe same name that may have moved a couple of time. Orange Mass was where sport parachuting really started in the states, so I'd bet on it (they moved, but went back a few years ago). The police in Orange even have skydiving in their emblem (which is kind of an interesting occurance)
