SkydiveMonkey 0 #1 January 31, 2002 Why is it that despite it's name, Extreme Sports on Sky Digital has very little (if any) skydiving on it? It's all skateboarding and bmx. It's weird when you think whuffos think BMXing is normal but skydiving is 'crazy and extreme'. We need more skydiving on TV !!! How about creating a dropzone.com channel HH? Skydiving. Think about how large an audience there is for each type of program and how many bikes v. rigs you could potentially sell. This is only one of many reasons there is very little coverage of skydiving on TV.quadehttp://futurecam.com
 Jimbo 0 #3 January 31, 2002 Because it's still all about advertising and skydiving (Unless there are injuries) doesn't seem to hold the attention of the modern viewer. The trouble is that most people, even in the TV business, can't tell hype from reality.A Sony TRV10 is -WAY- better than the quality of a lot of "broadcast" cameras I shot with 10 years ago.The fact is that the less important the content of the material, the more important the quality of the material becomes. In other words, if you had the modern day equivalent of the Zapruder film but shot on a one chip crappy VHS camera, I can assure you it would suddenly be ok to broadcast it. Conversly, since most sports programming is pretty inconsequential, the quality of the footage becomes pretty important.quadehttp://futurecam.com
 skyhawk 2 #13 February 1, 2002 yer i agree most footage can be used even if it isnt "broadcast" just look how much airtime the vid shot by that doctor guy on 9/11 got and that was just a handycam. if its good they can and will show it :)(o)(o)
 skyhawk 2 #14 February 1, 2002 Last year sometime.
