PalmettoTiger 1 #1 February 4, 2002 Wahoo!! I got my grades back from last semester and thy're good enough (a 3.1 GPA) that I'll let myself start jumping again!! (see this post for an explanation). Sweet. In related news, spring semester classes start today. My schedule looks pretty interesting - geophysics, electrical engineering, and 2 politics courses. I'm taking the GEO course, "Weather and Climate," solely because of skydiving - I want them to start with the chapters on forecasting cloud cover and wind conditions!! Class starts in 10 minutes, I'd better scoot on over there... PTigerI'm stepping through the doorAnd I'm floating in a most peculiar wayPS Did I mention I'm going to start jumping again? Yeeeeeee-haaaa!

Yeehaw! If this ever happens again, though, try a more reasonable punishment for yourself than killing the skydiving. Self-flagellation, for example. Walk a mile in your enemy's shoes. Then you're a mile away and have his shoes.
jfields 0 #3 February 4, 2002 I don't think he stopped as a self-inflicted punishment. I think it was more like spending all the time at the DZ instead of the library. Justin
Skyrose7 0 #4 February 4, 2002 I wish I had the discipline to do that. My grades are suffering. I did ok last semester, but now I am getting spring fever and not doing a bit of reading. The mind is like a parachute--it works better when it is open. JUMP.
TheMarshMan1 0 #5 February 4, 2002 I actually did better when I started skydiving. Raised my grades almost a full point on the good 'ol GPA (from about a 2.7 to a 3.5)...I think it cleared my head or something, I dunno. I sure as hell didnt complain!
