christopherm 0 #1 February 8, 2002 Ok, all you Europeans, I've got a political question for you. Why the hell don't your countries want to support the U.S. in attacking countries like Iraq? I was just wondering if anyone could offer some insight.-So, how hard is the ground?!

freeflir29 0 #3 February 8, 2002 Well....the French were going to but they surrendered already...Just joking...WTF are you taliking about. Let's see...I know Germany has sent troops....Russia, Canada, Japan...I don't think it has anything to do with them not wanting to. It has to do with political balance. This is a very complex issue and we learned in Vietnam that political victories are just as important as battlefield ones. Thats times 27 in cases of Terrorism. Remster 30 #5 February 8, 2002 Why Iraq? Why do you think the US should attack that perticular country, since you stated it... then we can discuss why other contried should or shouldn support the US armed forces.RemsterMuff
MarkM 0 #6 February 8, 2002 Hell, if I had two world wars already in my front yard I'd be nervous about starting a third too.
christopherm 0 #7 February 8, 2002 Well for a number of reasons I believe. One is that Sudam should have been taken out the first time we were there. But now he has been given time to bring himself back to the state he has been in before. Anyone who thinks he doesn't have weapons of mass destruction must be blind. Why else do you think he has kicked out inspectors (same as Enron execs pleading the 5th), it's just to bad no one has had the balls to do anything about it. Sudam will stir stuff up again as soon as he thinks he can get away with it, and he will continue to support terrorism all over the world, so don't think that the U.S. is the only target. That's just for starters, it seems pretty clear to me. I think we will finally do something about it with or without allies. So, how hard is the ground?!
