Drink Recipe Contest.

All sorts of good ideas are arrived at in the Pub Happy Hour. If you haven't stopped by, do so.
Anyway, here's the latest:
For some odd reason the conversation has turned to various mixed drinks and shots. Still trying to figure out how that got brought up. Anyway we're having a contest. Looking for new and original drinks or shot mixes that can be aptly labeled with skydiving names. Ex. "skydiver" and "total mal" and "head down" are just some of the names we have come up with that sound deserving of a drink. So submit your ideas (names and/or recipes) and I am sure there will be plenty of people who will try them out. "Let the rabbits wear glasses. . . "

okay, here's a recipe in search of a name. we used to call it goof (on account of the effects of consumption) but i think 'total mal' would work. the recipe:
on quart of hermit's sherry (any seriously cheap, high alcohol content white wine, red wine, cooking sherry, vanilla extract or used motor oil will do)
half a quart of vodka
half a quart of OJ
dump everything together in a two quart pitcher and consume. it's an aquired taste, so most people find it too vile to drink, leaving more for yourself. helpful hint: buy a quart of OJ and save the second half for morning, you'll need it!

get bottle from cooler
open bottle
tip back head and open mouth
invert bottle in the vicinity of the mouth
repeat until horizontal.
...and it's already been named beer.

There's a drink I call the 4-horsemen, but I'm not sure if it's a real drink or not...if not we could call it "Funneled Exit"...Here it is:
Shot Drink
mix 1/4ths of the following:
Bacardi 151
Jegermeister
Jack Daniels
Vodka
Those 4 drinks can vary depending on what's available, just as long as their strong liquors...it needs either 151 or Everclear to make work, though. Shoot a couple or 5 of those, chase with a beer and drive home...j/k don't drive...

Well Flaming Dr. Peppers are awesome. First time I had one with Dave I was amazed, it really does taste like Dr. Pepper.
Take a tumbler, fill 2/3 with your choice of beer.
Shot Glass with:
3/4 Amaretto
Top 1/4 Bacardi 151
Light 151, then drop in beer tumbler, and chug.
If you have a bunch, set them up in a line, with the shots stacked on the joints of the tumblers and drop the first shot in at an angle to do a domino effect. Looks sweet. But that is already named so......
My roommate and I made one up. We call it a Mean Greeny, but it could be renamed. QuanTITies are kinda optional.
Tumbler or larger glass mostly filled with OJ
1 shot of blue curacao
1 shot of midori
Serve over ice.
It has a nice Citrus flavor, and since the curacao and and midori are fruit flavored, you really dont notice the alcohol. Experiment with the quanitities, as I never really measure I just make mine to taste.

Not a Beastie boys Fan I guess....Brass Monkey is a concocted party drink. Sorta like "Hunch Punch or Jungle Juice" but based on MD 20/20 or Night Train, etc etc...

I've used these to lay out a few people over the years.
First one is called a Terminator:
Double-Shot glass
1/3 Zambucca (or Uzo if you have it)
1/3 Kaluah
1/3 Bailey's
The other is Un-Named (that is the name)
Snifter (sp?) glass
1/2 Courvoisier
1/2 Grand Mariner
If you can walk around after a half doz. of these I'd be impressed.
