Who am I? Why am I here?

Recommended Posts

As I am stuck between my 2 tandem jumps this past December and the beginning of my AFF in May, I wonder what draws me here to DZ.com. Right now I am a total newbie. Half the time I have no idea what you people are talking about, unless it is about BOOBIES. What I have learned so far:
1. I will be buying alot of beer.
2. Everyone loves BOOBIES
3. This sport is addicting
4. Everyone loves BOOBIES
5. Clay may or may not be into farm animals
6. Everyone loves BOOBIES
7. "Pull and Flare"
8. Everyone loves BOOBIES
9. JumperPaula is hot.
10. Everyone loves BOOBIES
11. You all seem like really cool people and I cannot wait to progress in this sport.
Oh and did I mention...Everyone loves BOOBIES.

Well, you've got your priorities straight (Boobies). :)You've forgot to add that FreeFlying is the best way to fly and that the RW crowd needs to grow up...;) (bait, cast, reeeeel...bait, cast, reeeel...)

that's pretty much what i've picked up as well. except you could probably add
- small canopies and swooping are bad if you don't have the experience and/or training.
- everyone loves boobies
- listening to everyone talk about all the jumps they did last weekend sux when there's 3 feet of snow outside your door.
- everyone loves boobies.

Right, I just want to remind you of the faculty rules: Rule One!
Everybruce: No Pooftas!
Rule Two, no member of the faculty is to maltreat the Abbos in any way at all -- if there's anybody watching...... Rule Three?
Everybruce: No Pooftas!!
Rule Four, now this term, I don't want to catch anybody not drinking..... Rule Five,
Everybruce: No Pooftas!
Rule Six, there is NO ... Rule Six!... Rule Seven,
Everybruce: No Pooftas!!

i was thinking of going the feefly route for a couple of reasons:
1. nobody to run into or kick in the head because i didn't quite have control of a manouver.
2. nobody will know if i miss a move because i would be making them up as i went anyway.
3. it just looks like more fun than concentrating on a pre-set series of moves, more time to just enjoy the ride.

For me FF is prefered mainly because of the attitudes of the people involved. I go to the DZ to have fun and jump and have fun and jump, etc. I don't go to get my ass tied in a knot because I didn't turn 4-dozen points while coming off the hill...
That and I just plain out enjoy it more, its more of a Zen and the Art of Skydiving type of feeling when FFing :)"Alright, at 4500 lets break it, turn 360 and track away..."

The most IMPORTANT lesson to learn in all of skydiving is:
When skydiving naked, when it's time to deploy your main, make ABSOLUTELY sure your teabag and such haven't found thier way under either leg strap. The "Ball-Over" malfunction may not be the most dangerous malfunction that can happen, but from what I have heard at bonfires, it is by far the most painful.
