Most operating systems have memory leaks and other problems that need a reboot to cure them. And most hardware problems definitely do. A lot of people get annoyed at us for suggesting it, but we get annoyed at them for not trying it before they call. Especially if they 'knew' we were going to say that.A funny story on the note. Very shortly after I started jumping, I was waiting around at the DZ watching everything I could as a newbie, curious about everything. One of the camera fliers could not get his video camera to execute some function. Our DZO (who works in a tech related field) started looking at it. The camera flier walked away to do something. So, the DZO disconnected the battery and reconnected and the camera worked like a champ. So he gives it back to the camera flier who says, "What did you DO ??"
