Slappie 9 #1 February 25, 2002 Mine are 1:1:0Had a great time on Saturday. Got up sat around letting the sun take it's place in the beautiful South Texas sky. Headed out to the DZ Around 12:30ish. Arrived found out all the wood I had sent down the day before was burned up!! I was upset. I had sent down a truck load of wood for the bon-fire on Saturday night. Some bored drunk skydivers discovered the wood and comenced to torch it all. Not a big deal they felt bad enough they went out and gathered up enough to have a fire Sat anyways. I Borrowed a rig from one of the camera men for a jump {Thanks Micheal Poole} he's out for 3 weeks back injury {heal up big guy} So I was a bit nervous! Hadn't jumped in awhile. Loaded on the plane.. I was the ONLY FreeFlyer!! Last out! I love being last out! The dive wasn't one of my best but I was able to hold my sit and do some 360's and 2 back flips!! Just like riding a bike!! The winds were pretty funky and I had a spot way up wind so I hit big turbulance at about 1000' and it tossed me around a bit too about 300' brought to canopy into small brakes and landed pretty fast on my feet! WAY OUT in the tall grass. Couldn't set up for a pattern, I was like the last one in the air. So I figured I'd just fly it out and stay away from everyone else. I thought about another jump was invited to do a 2 way with Zennie and then a tracking dive. I wasn't feeling to confident on my skillz so I declined and hung out watching the rest and jaw jappin. One or our Video-Studs had a cutaway {second in less then a week } he was ok, landed out about a mile down the highway. I rushed out to get him. Then went back to look for his main and freebag. FOUND the main way up in a tree! That was interesting climb, out on a limb my knees started shaking and the only thing that was running through my mind was how much it was going to hurt when this limb breaks and I fall 20 feet into abunch of sticker bushes. Returned the main. Everything else was normal. That night though!!! YeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwww It was a Texas Throw down for our very own and soon to be Skydive America Palm Beach's Scotty Carbone and Tami!!! I have to tell you SAPB is getting one great guy. The food as always was great! The people were having a blast. Dead Mike was passing out shots, another jumper was passing around a bottle of Ouzo.... I think I saw some Jim Beam ect... and all the beer you could drink! This was just at the Carbonezone. Scotty did his last ceremony at the DZ For an SCR and what a hilarious thing that is. I told him I was going to go visit them in Fla to get mine. Moved the party out to the fire. We got it rockin and the tunes cranked up. Let's put it this way. There was some lesbian kissing, boobie shots fire jumping [me included} and beer drinkin madness!! Until all hours of the night! Thanks Scotty & Tami for being a friend and trying your hardest to teach me how to fly on my belly. Your a wonderful pair and will be sorely missed at Skydive Spaceland. BSBD! freeflir29 0 #15 February 25, 2002 "Sadly, 0:0:0"DAMMMMMMNNN...What a loser...Me 0:3:0Didn't get to cross keys because my plane left at 150 Saturday afternoon from Philly. I did get down to SD Atlanta just as the beer light came on!! Got up Sunday for 1 KICKASS free fly jump with Lyle. 1 "Coaching" jump with a couple newbies. (Yes I paid my own damn slot) Learned a bunch on that one...IE don't attempt to get newbies to do 360's. Use LH and RH doughnuts instead. I spun around and everyone was gone...LOL. Managed to chase one of them down and came really close to dragging him back to our 3rd for a round. Funny jump.... Sunset tracking dive...kinda fun...a little cold. NO WIND!!!! Surf was up!"I only have a C license, so I don't know shit..right?"-Clay

Jumperpaula 0 #21 February 25, 2002 1:7:0 What a beutiful Texas Weekend. Saturday, Had a 20 way for Mikie's 1,000 and next load helped get an SCR. Nice guy but didn't catch his name (anyone remember that guys name?). Grinning Ear to Ear, he had a blast and it's such a cool feeling to get someone out on there first REAL RW. It's nice to have such a wide variety of things going on at the DZ . Rowdy Tandem group all cheering each other on - Teams practicing and high fiving in the landing area. First Sunburn of the year (yes, she said first).Quote Moved the party out to the fire. There was a party? Must have missed that one. Fly Your Slot !
