shaunp171 0 #1 February 27, 2002 I have signed up for my 1st tandem this weekend ! , but it is only supposed to get up to 45 here in Colorado :(Will I be miserable jumping in this weather, or should I go ahead and Jump?-by the way - this site totally rocks!thanks - shaun
freeflir29 0 #2 February 27, 2002 You'll live at 45F. Wear gloves, sweatshirt, and long johns. A neck gator would be a definate plus. Remember...to calculate the average temp drop is 2.5F per 1000 ft. So I think it should be about 15-20F at altitude for a Colorado jump....."I only have a C license, so I don't know shit..right?"-Clay

lummy 4 #4 February 27, 2002 That is if you even notice the cold. You'll probably be too nervous to even notice.Still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest....

vickha 0 #8 February 27, 2002 You'll be fine. My advice: wear gloves! I find my hands get the coldest. But like lummy said, you'll probably be too excited and anxious to even feel the cold.
AndyMan 7 #9 February 27, 2002 I've jumped in temperatures as cold as 12 degrees F.That's about 15 below C.For this I dressed like I was skiing. T-shirt, turtleneck, nylon shirt, sweater, then jumpsuit. I looked like the goodyear blimp, but I was toasty. For what you're doing, I would wear a tshirt and sweater underneath the jumpsuit._AmICQ: 5578907MSN Messenger: andrewdmetcalfe at hotmail dot com Yahoo IM: ametcalf_1999
Sebazz1 2 #10 February 27, 2002 -20 F in Monterey couple of weeks ago(at 15,000'). It wasn't that bad. But for the tandem passenger blocking all the wind for me I can't say the same.........................No it was painfuly cold but when you got an addiction, reason seems to go right out the door so to say......Sebazz............
