Need some help to renew my licence

Recommended Posts

I'm currently with BPA & it runs out end of March, I now live in France.
Not too sure on my options here, do I stay with BPA or is there a French licence? I dont think I'll be returning to the UK for some years, but will be doing a lot of travelling around Europe & further.
Any feedback would be great

BPA membership has gone up again :( Don't know what you're situation is with you living in France. Best bet is to email the BPA and ask them if you need theirs or the French one. You might have trouble getting the French one as you gained your licence in the UK. Don't really know dude, just my out-take on things.

Stevieboy, I travelled (with work) round Europe jumping in Norway, Holland, Germany, France, Spain etc, the BPA cover is recognised and accepted in most places, granted I wasn't spending an awful lot of time at any particular DZ. Most of the time they are just concerned about third party insurance, which the BPA cover provides in Europe--best check this with BPA. Of course you will need your log book and your FAI license, get one if you don't already have this, it really helps.
Why don't you contact the Froggy BPA
www.ffp.asso.fr/
and see what they have to say......
Here's a French website which lists most of the DZs in Frogland
www.veloce-skydive.com/
If you haven't finished AFF, get your ass down to GAP, Lapallise, or La Roche sur Yon, where there are English instructors, or even French guys who are willing to speak Anglais with a "Rot Boeuf" (sp?), I'm sure you know what I mean.
Bon chance mon vieux, a bientot,
D
Apologies to any Froggies out there, no offences meant....
