Translation funnies!

Recommended Posts

Decided to have a little fun tonight with computer translations.
First entered the phrase "Skydiving rocks big time!" and asked my computer translator to translate this from English to Spanish then back again to English. The phrase returned as "Skydiving oscillates great time!"
Next -that- new phrase was translated into German then back and came up as "Skydiving reciprocates large time!"
-That- phrase into Italian then back! Returned as "Skydiving exchanges the great time!"
Then Portuguese: "Skydiving changes the great time!"
I, for one, agree that it certainly does! ;^) It just keeps getting greater through the changes. I'm sure all of us sure aren't the same people who started skydiving years (months) (days) ago!
Yeehaw! Let's rock!
See you guys at the dz.com record this weekend!

yey, wierd things like that happen when ya translate verbatim.... i lived the last few years in germany and when ya want a light for a cig. ya don't ask for a lighter ya ask for fire......"haben sie feur".....and when ya say i'm dave ya actually say "ich heisse dave"...it is i'm called dave..... things rarly translate word for word......but those were pretty funny........

"i may not go to heven, i hope you go to hell"-C.C.
