ON the weekends, I pull in a couple hundred a night (bartending). I know how you feel about getting a job aafter college. I just found out I graduate this fall. I didn't think it would be so soon, and now I don't know what to do....just a bit nervous about the "grown up world"The mind is like a parachute--it works better when it is open. JUMP. AggieDave 6 #31 March 5, 2002 You know, someone posted a sweet deal where people from Africa use your personal bank account to transfer $2-mill to the US...you could try something like that...Sorry to hear about your job man, good luck, you'll find something."Give me one ping and one ping only..." nws01 0 #32 March 5, 2002 I lost my job January 14th. Planned on looking for a job right away but a friend of mine called and invited me to go on a weeklong skydiving trip. I decided to go. When I got back I went to Orlando to find a job. Went skydiving instead. Two weeks ago I got a job. Does not pay as much as the other one but I now have every weekend off unlike before.Be patient, do not stress, like someone said before everything happens for a reason. I am twice as happy now than I was before. Nathan

cameramonkey 0 #35 March 5, 2002 That sucks dude... I feel your pain! I been doing the independent consultant thing for the past 18 months or so... as it didnt do as well as I need, and all my cash is now gone, I am now having to look HARD for a new job.As for monster, all I have gotten from them in the past 2 1/2 years are empty match searches (or completely irrelevant jobs), or other job sites harvesting my email address and using it to invite me to THIER useless (and sometimes overpriced) job sites. its gotta work for somebody I guess... otherwise they wouldnt be in business. TheMarshMan1 0 #36 March 5, 2002 Sorry to hear about your job man. It sucks, I know. But I'll second the recommendation for a restaurant job. Be a waiter. Thats what I'm doing until I finish my flight instructor ratings....and right now I'm probably making more than I will starting as a pilot (sad isnt it?). Lately I've been working about 30-40 hour weeks, and am bringing in well over $400/week just in tips alone- not to mention $5.15 an hour. Yeah, I'd rather be flying....but its a pretty fun job and I work with cool people. Hope everything works out OK for you.....-MarshLife's a bitch- be its pimp.... Magistr8 0 #40 March 5, 2002 Don't sweat the not having a job deal man. My old roomate was unmployed for only about at week until he got some calls from all over the place, monster.ca was asking to come in for interviews, credit unions, great west life, everything. The point is when you are in a jam you have a tendancy to see things more clearly and since you want and need this bad sometone will see your hard work and it will pay off.Happy hunting.P.S. My old roomie now works for IBM, a job that he got from posting on Monster.caWho ever said comming down from a high was bad obviously never tried this.Peter Rodrigues
