scottbre 0 #1 March 7, 2002 Ok, so I have exhausted all of my job leads with still no success. So I am at the point in my life where I have no real attachment to where I am living and can pretty much go anywhere I want, which I and my future roommate are toying around with. So my question to you is where should we go and why should we go there? Since all I am doing for a job right now is temp work, I can do temp work pretty much anywhere, while I continue looking for a real job. So tell me what you think. 20 million bathtubs can't be wrong. . .

Pammi 0 #6 March 7, 2002 Sounds like Merrick and I, Scott. We decided when he lost his job in December that we were now free to go anywhere we wanted, because I do a lot of different kinds of work, so can always find something, it'll just be a matter of him finding a job then us going. It's kind of scary, yet fun, looking all over the US for jobs and not knowing where you might end up. Jobs are scarce these days tho, and the problem is getting to the places to interview and such if it's far away. They don't have to pay for you to fly there or whatever when there are so many without jobs right there in their city. But it's picking up and we'll be going somewhere...soon. :) We just made a list of where we WOULDN'T go and went from there :)Closing pin jewelry

Spend a few minutes packing your chute up in the middle of August, and you'll be glistening in no time. Of course, I don't know that first hand, that's just what I've heard. scottbre 0 #14 March 7, 2002 Quoteit'll just be a matter of him finding a job then us goingThe difference for me, is that we are thinking about going somewhere, and then finding the jobs there. Because as you said it is too hard to try to interview far away all the time.QuoteTemp work in what field? Technically, finance. But that translates to accounting, database, and god knows what else. Right now I am maintaining/building a database for an investment company. But I want the more financial temp work so that I will at least be getting useful experience. 20 million bathtubs can't be wrong. . . scottbre 0 #15 March 7, 2002 My roommate-to-be is actually from Riverside, CA, so southern California is pretty much not an option. Plus I hear the weather sucks. 20 million bathtubs can't be wrong. . .
MarkM 0 #16 March 7, 2002 Throw your tent and rig in the back of your car and wheel down to Florida. Crash at the local DZs while you hunt the nearby areas for jobs.If you don't find a job, hey at least you got to hang out at some cool dropzones.
