We made reservations last week at a Days Inn in Rantoul (just had a feeling....) and I notice it is not listed on the hotel list that pops up. ibrobinm 0 #2 March 8, 2002 Here's a little more info for everyone----on the popup list of hotels from the freefall website it shows a Super 8 and a Best Western Heritage Inn (in Rantoul) and these are booked up already for the dates of the convention. They were booked up last week when I made my reservations for the Days Inn. Just don't land by the main or manifest and loading area and it shouldn't be very crowded.Idiocy = Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups. But like I said before, the DaysInn isn't listed on that popup and I don't know why. And if you go directly to the Super 8 or the Best Western Heritage (their website directly) they show the dates of the convention are all booked up.......You might call the 800 number above and give them a try..... Snowwhite 0 #18 March 8, 2002 The www.freefall.com site has a link to the housing manager, the housing manager has blocked rooms in various hotels in Rantoul, and Champaign. No hotel in Rantoul is more that 5 minutes or so away. Champaign is about 15. These blocked hotels will have shuttle service provided free by the village and the convention. If you call some of the hotels direct, they may be telling you that they are booked solid because of the blocking, so make sure that you use the pop up link on the website, to avoid that problem, and to get the better rates.
