Children?

lisa, you'll want to keep an eye on that son of yours. My son was always fascinated by inserting things into openings. It started out with cheese in the tape deck. Later on, he progressed to inserting keys in the electrical socket. He's 23 now, and his g/f is pregnant!
He just never lost that fascination.

I've a fairly new daughter (almost two months) and I'm having mixed feelings about returning to skydiving after a 3 month break cos it'll mean leaving her for an entire weekend at a time. It's not practical to bring my girlfriend and Amber (tents only). But the upside is soooo tempting.

Aww... thanks, Pammi for saying so! Aren't kids great ?!! But I'm sure I'm gonna have to keep a baseball bat near the door in a few years! Clay -- don't get any ideas...

No children for me, but I have a 6 year old nephew. He came to watch me jump the other day and totally digs it. He even asked when he could jump, if he could go on the next load! :D
His mother (my eldest sister, which is expecting a girl to arrive one of these days) didn't think it was very funny. Still I'll pay for his first jump in a few years time. We just won't tell his mom, or mine for that matter... :D
Hang onto Heaven, when hell is on your back;)

OK Pammi,,,
Now I'm really confused,, USPA wording is vague and after reading Bill Booths' statment I see both sides,, and the manufacturers had to follow the FAA/USPA guidelines right,, and are the makers of rigs concerned about the size of the kid?? We all know 16 y/o's that are bigger that many other jumpers,, Our DZ is still sitting the fence untill it's made clearer,, anyway had a great day skiing with my daughter today,, were doing safety day later when we can jump afterwards,,,
Blue One's everyone!!

Don't read this shit down here,, it's nonsense,,,

It's not the size, it's the age. At 16 years old, a person cannot legally sign away their rights (i.e. The Waiver) and it would be very easy to have a waiver thrown out in court if something bad were to happen to the child. Large damages would be awarded and the companies affected would have to close due to bankruptcy.
