Zennie 0 #1 March 12, 2002 Since I was listening to Megadeth just this morning on the way to work, and since we're on the topic of skydiving celebrities.... does anyone know if Dave Mustaine still skydives regularly? And how 'bout Dexter Holland & Noodles? I read something somewhere about Dexter doing Birdman jumps and Noodles BASE jumping.Just coo-rious."Zero Tolerance: the politically correct term for zero thought, zero common sense." PhreeZone 20 #2 March 12, 2002 Dextar and Noodles were still jumping last year. They included fresh footage in their DVD from last year that I saw. Some sweet antenna exits and some LONG birdman flights. Other then the clips the DVD was'nt really that good and I'm glad I watched it for free.Last I had heard Dave had given the spot up in the early 90's due to Family, work and other reasons. He might be back by now....Cause I don't wanna come back down from this cloud... ~ Bush

rgoper 0 #5 March 13, 2002 to my knowledge, and i've followed dave mustaine all the way from his pre-metallica days to megadeth, he never did sky dive. he thought the bass player (dave ellefson) and the drummer (nick menza) and the lead/rythem player (marty friedman) formerly of cocophony were nuts for doing it. i've got ellefson on video doing a tandem, and aff jump, menza, and friedman doing the same, but no dave. i have the video "rusted pieces" with the single video on it (which inspired the song/lyrics) "high speed dirt" and prior into the intro (live, onstage) mustaine refers to the song being written by himself, because he had some crazy fu**ers in his band that liked hurling themselves out of fu**ing airplanes. i'm not saying he hasen't, i'm just saying i'm not aware of it, and the way he talked about it in the outakes of the full length video, he thinks there'e nuts. nonetheless, the video makes for excellent intros for first time tandems, i've taken it to the dz, they love it!Richard"The Real Fun Comes At Deployment Time"

ChromeBoy 0 #7 March 13, 2002 Dave's answer when asked about skydiving...taken from http://carelia.scp.fi/~lt98nika/mh11.htmlDave is a member of the United States Parachuting Associaton. How did he manage his first jump - was he pushed? "No, I was completely up for it. As a matter of fact I made the jump here in Hawaii. I need that adrenalin surge now I have stopped my chemical substance abuse. I am finding my highs in different formats. And its definitely paying off. It's tapped the natural adrenalin I was capable of creating in the first place. Not only that, it's helping me realise I had the capability of being free from drugs and alcohol a long time ago. I realise how fabulous the human body and mind is, and there are other ways to stimulate yourself than doing heroin or cocaine."Kachink,ChromeBoy-Mirage G3 Unisyn-
