SkydiveMonkey 0 #2 March 13, 2002 Take underwear that's easy to clean !! Taking beer is always good, but don't drink before you jump !! Just share it out after the last load has gone up. Good luck !! One tequila, two tequila, three tequila floor
larry 0 #3 March 13, 2002 Take some mints (tic-tacs or something) to pass around during the flight up. Where you’re going it should not be an issue, but riding in the small C-182's at my DZ, you can smell what people had for breakfast or drank last night! (only half joking here) Larry

SpeedRacer 1 #5 March 13, 2002 have you done other jumps before, ie. tandems or static line?I found that to reduce nervousness during my first few jumps, I would just avoid anything with refined sugar or caffeine in it before the jump. Just drink water w/ lunch...you don't need a sugary soda to make you jumpier, and caffeine is really redundant when you already have adrenaline....first jump students aren't usually REQUIRED to bring beer, but its appreciated. You definitely gotta bring beer when you graduate the whole AFF course though. And at the DZs I've been to, you can't even bring it out until after the beer light goes on (after the last load has gone up at sunset).Speed Racer"Fill your hand, you son-of-a-bitch!" Emmie 0 #7 March 13, 2002 Hey congradulations and have fun! I don;t know how they run their program in Seb, but you'll have about 8 hours of groundschool before you can jump, and you'll probably make your jump right after. I think that the general rule is that they don't want you to make more than 3 jumps aday for AFF, but maybe that's my DZ. Anyhow, can you do me a big favor, once you get to Sebastian, can you give a message to Gill? Tell her Marianna said hi, and that I'm definetely coming in 2 weeks. Oh yeah, bring sunscrean if you tend to burn.HAVE FUN!!!!
