indyz 1 #2 March 14, 2002 Assuming that brute force is the only reasonable method of breaking the code (i.e., there aren't any mathematical shortcuts or weaknesses within the algorithm), a megabit key would take basically forever to break with current technology. Anyone ever heard of DNA computers. This is just the sort of thing that DNA computers could be useful for, but the process of using DNA for practical applications on this type of thing is still a few years down the road.
